|Himalayan Tradition Initiates meeting Friday January 24 time TBA, location as below.|
Yoga philosophy tells us there are five sheaths, or koshas, that conceal a brilliant core of fire and light that lies within all of us – a universal field of boundless energy of which we are a part. But how do we reveal this core and attain true freedom and liberation from cycles of birth and death? The first step is to understand the connection between the physical body we occupy and the energy source it is connected to. Swami Ritavan and Pandit Dabral, two internationally renowned teachers with deep personal knowledge of this connection will guide us on the journey from the physical to the subtle. Through their gentle and thorough approach, we will learn methods revealed by the sages and rishis in ancient texts and passed down through the lineage for thousands of years. Discussion of yoga philosophy, joints and glands exercises, asana, relaxation, meditation and yoga nidra will all be a part of the weekend practice. Register early as space is limited to 26 participants.
An Edmonton non-profit, initiative under the guidance of Swami Veda Bharati, inspired by Maya Margo Balog, with the aim to enhance the students physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well being; and to provide the community with the clarity and purity of the original teachings and techniques of the ancient Himalayan Tradition
